Extraordinary sustainability project for USAMV Bucharest

The University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest is always looking for solutions to protect nature, to practice sustainable agriculture and to pass on to its students what it means "A university for agriculture and life", the motto of the University, by always emphasizingthe importance of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

Proof that they have succeeded in this is the extraordinary project carried out by the Students' Association at the Faculty of Horticulture, with the support of the students of the Faculty of Biotechnology, by implementing a technology to reduce pollution. Thus, the students started this project by transforming food waste produced on the University campus into compost with the help of Oklin composters from Eutron.
There are posters all over the campus reading “Feed Nature. Choose to recycle responsibly” which promote the project, but also help students recycle responsibly and cultivate this spirit of active community.

The composter chosen by the students is the Oklin GG50s, an electric composting unit with a capacity of 25 kg of waste per day, which they turn into compost in a maximum of 24 hours, through Acidulo® bacteria. By composting, the volume of solid food waste is reduced by up to 90%.

USAMV Bucharest manages to support students' projects and protect nature using state-of-the-art technologies. And Eutron is proud to be a reliable partner for academia.
